Off-Leash Dog Park

The Village maintains an off-leash dog park located on the West side of the community. When you are using the dog park please observe the following rules:

  • Pick up after your dog and dispose of waste in a garbage bin.

  • Enter and use at own risk.  The Village of Clavet assumes no responsibility for any injury or damages to  persons or property, arising from or in connection with the use of the leash-free park.

  • Dogs must be wearing up to date license tags and vaccination tags.

  • Female dogs in heat, aggressive dogs, sick dogs or dogs less than four (4) months old are not allowed in the park.  If a dog becomes aggressive, it must be leashed immediately and removed from the park.

  • No dog may be in the park without an adult human attending at the same time.  All dogs remain the responsibility of the owner or guardian at all times.

  • Dogs outside the park boundaries must be leashed.  When in the leash free park, carry a leash with you at all times.

  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Do not allow your children to run and scream or approach a dog without the permission from the dog’s owner.

  • Dogs must be under control of the dog owner.

  • Leashed dogs are not allowed in the off leash park, as this creates issues with leash aggression and dogs feeling they need to protect their owners.

  • A maximum of two (2) dogs per person in the off leash area.

  • Please keep gates closed at all times.
